820 Grant - next steps?

Hi all, my 820 was granted last week which is great. I'm not sure what happens next. I logged into my immi account and it won't let me upload any more documents. There's just a message that says "Applicants who are granted the temporary visa will be eligible for consideration for permanent residence 2 years from the date this application was submitted."

What do I do now? Just wait until I hit the two year mark and immi contacts me? Or is there anything I can do now to prepare for the next stage?

Thanks in advance!

Wait until you hit the 2 year mark and then provide the information about ongoing relationship.

Hi,
820/801 application has a 2 phases application process.
The 2nd one which deals with the 801 is felt with 24 months after the 820/801 application date.
But once you reach 23 months after the application date for your 820/801, you'll be able to start uploading documents to show that your relationship with your sponsor is still going on.

However, if you've been in that relationship for more than 3 years (or 2 years if you have a child), you can contact your case officer to ask if a 801 could be granted straight after your 820.

Good luck...

Start a brand new application for family partner stage 2 (100/801) under your immi account after 24 months of your 820 application lodgement, upload updated documents, i.e. relationship evidences, etc (from the date of your 820 grant) as you did similarly in your 820 application.

Thanks, but provide the information where? Do I begin a new application for 801?

Thanks! Is it necessary to do police, health checks and get friends to write declarations again? Or is it just about providing evidence now that the relationship is ongoing from the 820? Does the same case officer look at the 801 application that also reviewed my 820?

Yes, almost all over again but no health check, still require police check (can wait until CO asks), 2 of 888 forms again from friends. We got different COs on 820 and 801, extremely unlikely to be the same CO

That's super helpful - thank you! It's a pain to have to do it all over again though! I'll be glad when this is all over
