Exclamation Bridging Visa Not Issued Automatically

I am visiting my daughter on a subclass 600 visitor visa. I came to Australia on 5th November 2019. Although the expiry date on my visa is 20th November 2020, my visa will expire on 5th November 2020 as I will complete 12 continuous months of stay,.

I have been granted a waiver for condition 8503. I filed an application for subclass 600 visa today. I was not issued a bridging visa automatically.

How can I get a bridging visa? I thought bridging visas are granted automatically. What is the process after filing another visa application to get a bridging visa?

Bridging visas for 600 applications do often take a day or two to come through.

Thanks, Paul! What will happen if the bridging visa isn't issued by the time my visa automatically expires? Should I be worried?
