801 Application Email Reminder from DHA

Hi Guys,

Thought I'd share it here since I think it's a new information.

I submitted my 820 on Dec 25 2018 so I am now due to submit my 801 application. I planned to submit it Nov 25 2020 but the DHA beat me to it and reminded me that I can apply now!

Here's the email I received last night;

-------

Subject: Partner visa application process

Automated message from the Department of Home Affairs

Application reference: *removed*

Dear *removed*,

You can now submit your information for the permanent stage of your partner visa by logging into ImmiAccount https://online.immi.gov.au/lusc/login

Follow these steps:

Login to ImmiAccount
Select New application
From the New application list, select Family then Stage 2 - Permanent Partner Visa Assessment
You will need your Transaction Reference Number (TRN) or Application ID from your original partner visa application.

For more information about the partner visa process including typical processing times see immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-finder/join-family

Do not reply.

-------

So, I guess this reminder solves the question "can I lodge the 801 application now"

Its nothing new, thats how they've always done it.
You have always been able to apply 1 month before eligible and for those that do receive an email its also been 1 month before

Oh cool. Idk I've been reading posts from 2016-2019 about this and people were talking about applying 2 months before the 2nd year. I haven't seen anyone mention about the reminder. I was assuming, if there was a reminder and people know about it, people wouldn't ask anymore if they can lodge 801 on this date etc
