Question Can I move overseas for 2 years while on a BVB?

Hey everybody, new to the forum here. Could use some help with my situation.

I've applied for an onshore partner visa 820/801 in September 2019. I'm still on a bridging visa A while I wait for a decision to be made. This upcoming year I'm intent on going home (with my partner) to begin studying for 2 years back in Canada.

If I apply for a bridging Visa B, do you think it would be approved to allow me to pursue this,(I've read that BVBs have been approved for up to 12 months in some instances) or do I need to wait for my 820 to be approved?

Unless you apply, you won’t know, but there is no real reason it won’t be granted. 12 months is reasonable, remember though that you need to be onshore for the 820 grant, which is not a simple thing to arrange at present.

Are there any consequences for not immediately returning when your visa is granted, presuming im still within the timeframe of my BVB) and is it possible to request for an extension?
