partner visa - centerlink help

Hi all, i am an australia citizen and my partner is on a
Subclass 820 Partner visa (temporary). She is about to give birth end of dec 2020 and was wondering if we get any child support or something from centerlink since she lost her job due to covid before and im still on reduced pay -20% from my job?

Thanks in advance

I would say yes you should be able to get a child support since you are citizen and your child too, however, how much you get will depend on the family income.

The best thing to do will be apply for online child support assessment to confirm your eligibility and how much you will be getting.

Hope this help and answer your question.

Your wife wont be eligible for any Centrelink money but you are.
When the child is born the hospital will give you a Centrelink form. Take that in for your child to registered and you will receive the Baby Bonus. Depending on your income you could also apply for Family Tax Benefit A and B
