Question Health insurance requirements 485 to partner visa

My partner is intending to apply for an offshore partner visa (309/100) and has been working overseas. She is currently a holder of a 485 temporary graduate visa that expires in Dec 2022.

1. Currently, does she still have to keep paying for OVHC (Overseas Visitors Health Cover) even though she has not been residing in Australia since Aug 2019?

2. When she arrives in Australia using the current 485 visa after lodging the application for the 309/100 visa, she will be eligible to enrol for Medicare. Can she stop paying OVHC in this case?

May I suggest that before you commit to a course of action that you consult one of the registered migration agents who posts on this forum for advice about strategy?
