Visa 600 and 8501 visa condition

My father applied for another visitor visa 600. It has just granted with condition 8501 - Maintain health insurance.

He has Overseas Visitors Everyday Hospital and Medical insurance from Medibank for few months already. It covered all GPs and hospital but on their website they mentioned: "Please note that if your visa is subject to Condition 8501 Overseas Visitors Health Cover may not be suitable." I talked to them and was told they don't have any insurance for visa with condition 8501.

On Immigration website, it only mentions "You are financially responsible for any health debts you incur in Australia." So it think that cover is enough.

Is there a special insurance for condition 8501? Do I need to change it?

Thank you.

I have been using BUPA - https://www.bupa.com.au/health-insur...itors/visiting.

How much extension did you father get on the new visa?

That's great!

I am also planning to apply another visitor for my mom. And was curious about how much extension I we can get.
