Statutory Declaration of Financial Support for Visa Subclass 309/100

When applying for the subclass 309/100, is it necessary to send in a statutory declaration from the sponsor (myself) stating details of my financial support of the applicant (my husband). Nowhere in the booklet do I see that this is required, but I have seen some people provide this. Any thoughts much appreciated.

I would definitely include evidence of your income, assuming you have a job, of course. Recent payslips for example. If there's nothing worrisome about your financial situation there's probably no need for a financial stat dec.

This isn't exactly what you're asking but I found this right before lodging my application so it is easy to miss. It is in the checklist but not only vaguely mentioned in the booklet http://www.australiaforum.com/visas-...r-support.html

Thank you so much for the feedback. I will definitely include my payslip and we have our tax returns included also. We also plan on cashing out my 401k so I think I will add the most recent statement as well. Would these sufficient?
