Question Need assistance regarding relationship dates

Hey all,

First post

I wanted to ask your opinion. We lodged our visa in Feb 2020 and the other day I was going over the application (I am so stressed) and saw these dates:

- we started dating Feb 2015, and stated that in application as date of de facto
- we moved in together in Oct 2017 and stated that as shared life to each other and no others

Is the above correct? I think I got confused with the wording and they should be switched around?

Should I submit a notification of wrong answer?

De facto means that you were living as partners probably (but not necessarily) living together, have 'entangled' your financial affairs and were known as a couple to third parties. There is no set of circumstances that applies to all cases.

Thank you for your reply
Our statements covers all that type of information (finances, moving in together etc) and obviously heaps on evidence.

It is just the answer on the actual application, Date of de facto where I put the date we started dating and the date where we committed to life only with each other I put the date we moved in together. (Where I think maybe I should change this to the day we started dating as well since we have been exclusive to each other since then)

I think if we leave the answer as is in won't mean a refusal since everything is in our statement but do you think I should fill in a wrong answer form?

P.S. I hope this makes sense. I am so thankful for you reply!

Be careful with wording..

This is mentioned..
Time spent dating or in an online relationship does not count as being in a de facto relationship.

Defacto means "living as a married couple"
