question on visa options available for me

I graduated with bachelor of commerce majoring in accounting.

i was thinking of applying for 885 but unfortunately

i'm failing my ielts test!!! my avg is 7.5 but i got 6.5 from speaking!!damn

i have applied for graduate visa and it hasn't been processed yet

and as far as i'm concerned, because i'm not on CSL, it wont be processed until 2011 (am i right?)

so my question is

will there be any other visa options possible?

or will there be any possible way to get extra points for 885?

i have no relatives living here

and i'm not working as an accountant atm

also my 2nd question is

the Department of Immigration & Citizenship site does not have clear

description on how 'australian work experience' is assessed.

it just briefly says it has to be closely related to my nominated skills

without saying clear definition on 'closely related'

how closely should it be related? has anyone successfully stretched

the definition?

i'm going re-sit the ielts test if there is no other solution

but to me, it just seems impossible to get 7.0 in each element................

Honestly I think you are asking too many specialised questions without disclosing too much info. As I understand it, WA sponsors accountants with 6 in English, so you might consider that option and get the extra 20pts. The problem you might have, like a lot of graduates, that you cant apply onshore until you get a substantive visa, i.e. you'll have to first wait for your temp (possibly till 2011) and then apply for state sponsored by which time your state spons/p might expire or the law might change. You may consider applying for 176 (offshore) whilst you are waiting for your temp, at least you will not be caught by possible changes.
hope it helps
let us know of your success

It could be even later than 2011 that a 485 gets processed for it is way down the priority list, even if on the CSL.

Information re Australian Work Experience is on Skilled – Independent (Residence) visa (subclass 885) and any other points possibilities are on the eligibility table.

I'd be thinking of practising your english speaking as much as possible whilst you retain the other skills and then an Accountant with 7.0 isn't it will be on the CSL and you'll be on a higher priority.

Have you considered getting an employer sponsorship 457 to lead to PR.
