Work Experience Evidence plz HELP ASAP

Hello everyone,
please I need help ASAP regarding the Work Experience Evidence, now I'm about to apply for the Subclass 475, the reason I'm applying for Subclass 475 is my poor English Only 6 overall in IELTS, my question is: I studied Accounting my degree is Bachelor of Commerce-Accounting Major So, Academically I believe that I am an Accountant with CODE 2211-11. As a result of that, I had applied and I got a positive assessment as an accountant from NIA.
I have been working for an administrator for almost 8 years; I had searched for an occupation in (SOL) till I found the closest occupation to my present job to apply under which is Office Manager CODE 3291-11.
My question is: Can I apply using my positive assessment as an Accountant and demonstrate my Work Experience Evidence as an Office Manager?
I am so confused and down as I feel the whole thing started in a wrong way from the beginning!!!!!!!
As DIC says:
Recent work experience requirement

To meet the recent work experience requirement, you must demonstrate that you have been employed:
In an occupation listed on the Skilled Occupation List (SOL)
For at least 20 hours a week
In a paid position
For at least 12 of the 24 months immediately before lodging your visa application.
My source is: Skilled – Regional Sponsored (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 475)
I JUST CANNOT UNDERSTAND
Thanks and Good Luck for everyone hoping to move to Australia

Hi Hany279,
it is not confusing at all, this requirement means that you have to be employed for 12 out of 24 months in a skilled occupation on a SOL. It can be any occupation on SOL, however, it has to be at a skilled level. To prove that it was at a skilled level DIAC may require you to provide another assessment for the other occupation to determine when your occupation commenced to be at a skilled level. Eg you may have never obtained any formal training to be an office manager and acquired the skills through work experience only (on the job training). I haven't checked the assessing authority for an office manager and what training is required, but say, if you never got any formal traning and you have worked for 8 years but needed four years work to 'get your qualifications' and start work at a skilled level, your skilled level work would be four years. There is quite a lot of policy on this issue but not enough space to provide all info.
By the way for some trade occupations this is going to change on 1/1/10 and they will have to have worked in their nominated occupation for 12/24 mths. This might also change for some professionals a little bit later (who knows with DIAC!!!!)
Hope it helps,
dorota
