Form 80 Question 57- Who the heck is included in my application?

Hi everyone! This is my first post here and it's about that lovely old form 80.

I've read the form 80 Guidance Note (thanks everyone for making that), but I'm still a bit unclear about something.

Questions 57 asks, "Have you, or any other person included in this application, ever been convicted of a crime or offence in any country (including any conviction which is now removed from official records)?"

Basically, who exactly is included in my application?

I, the applicant for a subclass 309 visa, am an American citizen, living in NZ. My partner, and sponsor, is a UK citizen, Australian permanent resident, also living in NZ. I have NO previous convictions. My partner has had one previous conviction (drug possession).

Now, is my partner considered to be "included in the application?"

I quote what is written in the Form 80 Guidance Note when I write-
Any other person is someone who is included on your application someone who is also applying for the visa.

I think the writers either forgot a comma or a few words like "and is." So I'm a bit confused about their explanation there.

I'm thinking my partner is NOT included in the application. My partner has their own application since they are my sponsor. Can anyone out there confirm this assumption?

Also, if that is the case, I am thinking about sending along my partner's police check and explaining it all anyway. What say you all on that?

Any advice and/or input would be much appreciated!
I've already called immigration and they either don't know or claim to not be able to answer such questions. So glad you all are here!

No need for your sponsor to get a police check unless there's a migrating minor as well. "Included in your application" means you, and any other dependents migrating with you. It does not include your sponsor.
