As i am an IT professional and got 1 year experience closely related to nominated occupation which is in CSL and 3+ years part time exp from MODL in same field. I will opt for skilled sponsored migrant subclass 176 visa as i can also choose 175.

* so suggest me what to do wether i have to apply on 176 or 175?
* secondly if i go for 176 then what will be my priority cat is that 2 or 3? as my profession lies in both CSL & MODL?
* and there is some confusion about areas like m gonna go for NSW (sydney)m i illigible or not??
* what specific/additional documents i have to gather before applying to ACS?
* and do i need to take ielts test before submiting to ACS???
* how long this process will take time?

I wud realy appreciate any valuable and professional input from you guys

regards

Hi, No you do not need to submit IELTS with docs to ACS.
If you have a degree in computing and you provide all the correct documents at the outset, assessment will take about 8 weeks. However, there is no longer bonus points for MODL.

Please remember that you require a minimum of 4 years (post qualification) work experience with a degree in IT for ACS and a minimum of 6 years if you do not have a degree and are doing an assessment under the RPL programme. and that is 6 years at a senior level in the industry.

Under 176 will you be sponsored by a family member or will you try for State sponsorship? If you are eligible for a 175 it is better to go that route as you can then move to any State of Australia.

Hope that helps.

I agree, but I was told the State Sponsored 176 (with CSL) were being processed fast.
I will let you know when I get asked for my PCC and medicals. Normally once these are in yuor VISA is issued about a month later.

Yep State Sponsored cases are priority processed. Once Meds and PCC's are requested and provided the application is completed relatively quickly. The only thing that could hold things up would be if there was a medical problem that required additional reports. This is not uncommon but nothing to worry about usually.

Hi,
I lodged visa 476 9 month ago and this visa has been granted for 1month but i lodged another visa 176 (family sponsorship) one month ago, I've been assigned a CO and Meds and PC have been met for 176 visa based on the previous one (476), now the question is : can i count on the shortened process time of getting 176 visa cuz every thing has been met for the first visa and may use for this visa (176)?
How long do you think will take me to be granted 176 visa?

First off, when you say

Has the CO confirmed that for meds have a life validity of 12 months.
You can not really count on the 176 visa having too much of a shortened processing time as it is a points assessment visa whereas the 476 is not.
There have been a number of changes to the skilled visa regulations
that are being introduced throughout the next few months and possibly that'll have an impact as well.
Have a look at the 8Feb. announcements in particular.
