banyuwangi - This is very much going to vary by embassy. The US, for example, assigns a CO to your case right away and that CO is listed in your acknowledgment. However, having a CO assigned sooner means nothing for processing times. Most US folks are waiting 6-8 months still right now for their visas.

Hi College Girl, yes I realize that having a CO sooner does not mean that the processing time it's gonna be quicker...It just my thought...Thank you so much and very much appreciated for your quick reply Collegegirl

2 days. I submitted my application on July 22nd, 2013 and CO was assigned on July 24th, 2013. However after I submitted my medicals which was on July 26th, 2013 I have not heard anything from my CO. Sent her an email still no reply yet. It's been over 10 days and still nothing. Just praying and hoping to hear something from the high commission soon.

Good luck and God Bless.

Kind Regards,
Becky

Well, I lodged a PMV on 17th June, 2013 at Accra AVAC (VFS global). Received acknowledgement letter from Kenya on 24th June, 2013 with no mention of a CO. Till now, we've emailed the visa processing officer who sent us the acknowledgment letter twice. She's only replied to one of the emails. No CO has been allocated till now. All the best to us waiting and pls stay positive everyone! There's always light at the end of the tunnel.

"Visa processing officer" and CO are usually just different titles for the same person. That person is probably your CO.

Thanks I hope so too.
Where did you apply for your 309/100?

Processing time for India when I applied was 7-8 months but unfortunately now it's gone up to 8-12 months :-/

This waiting period sucks the life out of you. Not being able to plan for the future is a torture, specially for me because I had one onshore 820 visa application rejected.

Good luck to you and your partner

Kind Regards,
Becky
