change of name?

The case:
- My husband took my name when we got married and also kept his own surname, so that his name was (this is an example) Bob Smith Hope, because my last name was Hope. He took my name, since his own name was extremely common and hard for people to remember, not good in a business situation.
- Then after about 6 years of marriage he had his own name removed by law, so he now only has my surname, so that he is now Bob Hope. At the same time-->
- Our daughter was baptized Jane Smith Hope one year after our marriage.
- But when my husband did not want his own surname (Smith) anymore, we did not want our daughter to keep it either, so she had it removed, BUT then we gave her a new middlename instead (she was 3 yrs) to honor my father, so her new name was Jane Lina Hope.

Question: Has anyone had a similar case? I imagine that I will have to document all the namechanges and new birth/name certificates, and that these documentations will be enough?
The thing is that the name on his exampapers and later work referees etc. are all different

Thanks in advance.

Name variations are not new to Immi Marianne, especially hyphenated ones eg. Smith - Hope and though it's gone from Smith to Smith-Hope to Hope and that's a little different, as you say, if there's a BC, Marriage and Name Change Certificates all included [or certified copies at more cost] for the whole family and some of Bob's certificates have variations from Passport etc., no big deal.

As long as you haven't decided on something like Osama Bin Laden!
