Can I do one health check for both 485 and 885 visa?

Hi Guys,

I am planning to apply for 885 visa, but due to the possible delay in my skills processing, I may have to apply for 485's to remain on bridging visa.

What I wanted to know was:

If I do a medical for 885 visa, will it cover for both 485 as well?

I know 885 visa requires blood test on top of the others and is valid for 12 months or something like that.

Thanks you.

It does normally depend on the date validity of the medical examination, one for a PR visa being more stringent than one for a TR or provisional visa, so if you're within the 12 months expiry time, you should be OK.

Can medicals for TR cover medicals for PR?
I'm applying for PR but not including my spouse in the application. Still, she is supposed to do medicals since i'm applying for PR.

We both have applied for TR, i thought medicals for TR might be used for PR purposes.

Any ideas? thanks!

I wouldn't count on it and read Health Requirements for Visa Applicants and http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/1163i.pdf
