de facto problem

Hi im new in this site i have a partner in sydney (same sex de facto relationship). and i been there last dec and going there again on sept my question is the IMMI only allows a 12month living together before they can apply for a temporary partner visa right. So how can I get around in australia for a 12month stay there so we can prove this things. I cant be on a working holiday coz im already 37. i cant get to work coz my skills is not in their list. what about tourist (but they can only give maximum of 3months right). So can somebody help me with my problem.

You can apply for tourist visas for up to 12 months, approval being based on a number of factors including country you're from and funds to support a holiday.
If you have some skills, there are also employer sponsor visas.
