Can parents visit

I am on a 457 visa and would like my parents to vist me for three months I understand they can apply for a 3mnths tourist visa. The problem is, I will be paying for everything from their flights to every little expense involved because they are both unemployed. Whe I downloaded the forms there is a part which mentions something to the effect that the pesron inviting MUST be a permanent resident. My wife and I have proof of funds and income.

Is it the sponsored visa you've downloaded forms for as there is a requirement for the sponsor to be PR or a Citizen.

Your parents could still apply for a standard tourist 676 visa and that does not stop you from paying for their airfares etc.
It'll just depend on from what country you/they are from as to what requirements may need to be met etc. and you could always supply a letter indicating that you are in Australia on a 457 visa with your wife, both working etc.
