Question Rules for a dependent on a 175 VISA

I have received a skilled class VE 175 PR visa and my wife is a dependent
on the visa. I am aware that I must enter Australia before her (initial entry).

1.) Do we have to travel together when re-entering Australia?
i.e. Could she travel back to Australia alone?

2.) Are there any work restrictions on my wife as a dependant?

Thanks in advance

After the first entry to Australia that you make together to validate your visa as they call it, you're both classed as Permanent Residents and can come and go independently as you please for five years from grant of visa.

That time is considered sufficient for people to either qualify for citizenship and get an Aussie passport or they have shown they have settled in Australia by being resident for at least a couple of years and having employment etc. and if needing to leave after five years without an Aussie passport you'll need to get a Right to Return Visa, again independently on oneanother.

Your wife has full work rights, coverage by medicare and it is only the major social security benefits that people are not eligible for until resident two years.

Some good settling in info and what to do re some things on Citizenship & Living in Australia
