Police Clearance (expires or not)

hii, (i am living in Turkey and will apply for a visa from here)

i want to apply for prospective marriage visa for Australia and i have 2 police clearance one from Canada (it took 4 months to receive) and one from u.s.a.
the questions is i received them jun (usa) and august 2009 (canada)

these 2 police clearances still acceptable by the consulate?

because there is no expiration date on them and i never travelled any country since 7 years.

as far as i know if you live in the same country when you apply for a visa and if its expires during process then you need to get one.

but from the other countries you lived in the past do i have to still refresh police clearances.??

Thank you....

I think you have that right, in as if the police clearance was obtained after you had lived in a country and you have not been back, it should still be considered valid.
