Oh AJ.. this breaks my heart. I remember so vividly how you felt waiting and waiting for this visa and then finally getting it in time to be with your partner for his birthday. I am so sad for you that it has turned out this way. *hugs*

Dear friend, dear AJ I know how you feel, my ex husband was abusive and psycologically aggressive and that destroyed my entire life. If you want a shoulder to cry on please contact me in private. I can understand you and your mixed feelings. My only advice now is to run, run far away from this man. No matter if in Europe, Australia or anywhere else, life can be beautiful again, but far from abuse of any kind. Remember, after the storm the sun shines again, stronger than before.

I'm so sorry to hear that AJ big hug.

I don't have visa or flight payment advice but I do have some words to share if you will listen... if you are realistically considering the option of giving up and going home, it's time to ring the alarm. It isn't healthy for you, for your heart, to stay in this "pending" state for too long. I hope you tell your partner how serious your pain is, and perhaps seek counseling together.

My mother spent over 10 years "not leaving" my father "just yet", there was never a straw that seemed to break the camel's back - until ten years later she realized the camel's back had been broken a long time ago. Don't put yourself through that. Empower yourself and your partner in taking back the control of the situation, even if you fear the outcome. Your life is precious and you deserve to spend every day moving forward.

Good luck xxx
