OKAY! You actually make very sense. About the "ENTER" before that date. now i at least have an idea so when i come across asking my CO or someone from here. I know how to ask the question. TY How long did it take you to get your ack. letter that had your CO info? after you lodged it? I know everyone keeps checking their e-mail constantly and I'm doing that like every minute!!! You should have your visa granted soon!!

It only took me a couple of weeks to get my acknowledgment, but people after me have seen it take a month or more. I hope you're right about my visa. Glad I could help you.

I wish I was at your stage already! Ones you get yours granted. Will you still be on here? So i've just been reading on the tourist 676. If i go in Feb to oz i can stay for 3 months then call immi and have them extend it for another 3 months since my visa doesn't have the "no further stay"…. How come you waited the whole time here? You didn't apply for tourist visa?

I just realized you hired an Agent. I just did all of mine by myself. It took about almost 2 months to put all of my evidence and stuff together. but i have never been happier after i had gathered ALL of my info. Was soooooo Happy to get that part done! The only thing i'm missing is my FBI report (which was delayed due to the gov closing they said. I sent it like almost 5 weeks ago( when i called them, they said everything is taking about 8 weeks b/c of that) ughh!!!!!!!!!!! And then Medical (immi) said thats all done electronic so i won't have to mail anything anymore for those now. :-) I was so relieved.Ones i get my x-rays n stuff done. They automatically upload that into the Immigrations site. :-D

No... my fiance and I decided it made more sense financially for me to continue working while we waited for it. This process is unbelievably expensive, even when both of us make a decent living.

We're also unsure it will even BE granted. I have some medical issues that may keep me from being able to emigrate. So we're doubly anxious about it.. .

We signed an agent basically so someone would be up on our case if something went wrong with the medical part. Our agent is an expert on dealing with medical problem cases.

Oh ok. That makes sense. I have a friend who did PMV 2 years ago- she's from Ireland. And she said on the medical part. I asked her couple days ago. She said "Medical is quick and its near impossible to fail" So i hope that helps you out a little bit. I'm happy to see anything positive- So since you are already in your 6 month since you lodged it… Has your Agent mentioned anything at all about visa being in process of getting granted? My friend hired Agent as well… He let her know that her visa was in the process of getting granted after 4 months of submitted. So ex: She applied in jan.. in May, he told her her visa will be granted by September, so she knew when to go to Oz.. She said she had a very (on top of everything Agent) hmmm

Nope. I have a very proactive agent as well, but when his office last contacted DC immigration last week all they said was "average processing time is 5-12 months." They are apparently very understaffed there right now and just overwhelmed with applications.

And unfortunately I've been researching this for over a year (since we got engaged). It's not "nearly impossible" to fail the medical. Many people with chronic or serious conditions, or disabled people fail it every day. If you're healthy, you won't. If you have common conditions inexpensive to treat... you won't. But if they think your medical care could cost over $7,000 per year, you can very much fail it.

What a pain. Where in the US are you from? I'm in CO. Yeah we've been engaged for 7 months now. But we've been Doing all the Skyping and all the others that i'm sure you know for a little more than a year.

I'm from VA. Yes, I don't know what we'd do without Skype. I miss him like crazy.
