Smile 189 & 190 Visa Points to Claim

Hi All,
I want to apply for 189 or 190 however, I need some info on the points given to the overseas work experience and Education.

I'm an ERP (SAP FICO) consultant with 6.5 years of experience
my education (Masters in Business Administration (MBA-Finance)) and my work experience are aligned.

SAP FICO Consultant requires a domain experience which I have so my total experience is as follows-

Domain Experience - In Accounting 5 years.
Relevant Experience - In SAP FICO 6.5 years

Total Work Experience is 11.5 with a Masters Degree

Please can some one help me if I can clam points on Education and total work experience.

Thanks in Advance.

If ACS is the entity in charge to evaluate your work experience and education, they will probably deduct some years from your total experience as your studies are not related with IT.
Please, refer to the ACS Summary Criteria to check this out: https://www.acs.org.au/__data/assets...f-Criteria.pdf

If you have a Bachelor Degree they may deduct 2 years work experience, if not, they may deduct 4 years.

Also, you have to identify first which anzsco code is suitable for your occupation and what is the current availability for this code. You can check this on:
ANZSCO Search | Interested in a Skilled Visa for Australia? Find out if your occupation is currently demanded

I have a masters degree , but not in IT. But my IT work and my education are aligned. So, how should we prove it so that we are able to get points for both the education and work experience.

regina056, what is your Bachelor's degree in? That also needs to be taken into account. You could also refer to the Australian Bureau of Statistics website to see details of what is the required criteria for your occupation and also the relevant assessing body website for eligibility requirements.

This will depend on the anzsco code you choose and the assessing authority is in charge.
You have to meet the Skill Level criteria in most of the cases: Skill Level – ANZSCO | ANZSCO Search

For instance, if your anzsco code requires Skill Level 1, you have to have a bachelor degree. If your degree is not related to the anzsco code, they may deduct 5 years from your work experience. This will depend on the assessing body as not all of them behave in the same manner.
You should first identify which is the most suitable anzsco code to you.
