PR (Perment residence)

Hi I am new user for this site. can anyone pl z give me the information related to PR. As i have finish my community welfare course in Melbourne Austalia. and if I am going for the state sponsorship in south Australia, so what is the procedure and what is the criteria.

First of all you need to determine based on the level of the course what occupation you'll be eligible for, ie.
http://www.immi.gov.au/asri/occupati...er-2512-13.htm along with welfare worker you can check on that site requires a degree qualification,
http://www.immi.gov.au/asri/occupati...er-3421-13.htm having a lower level qualification as a requirement.

You then need to have an assessment done for the qualifications [ details linked on above site ] and if you're still in Australia, depending on whether it is the 886 sponsored independent visa or the regional 487 you need to have a look at the full eligibility requirements, the 485 being another if you're short on points but meet the other requirements like two years study if in Australia.

If it all looks in order re qualifications and points, once you have the qualifications assessment done, next step would be applying for the state sponsorship and with that you could then put the visa application in.
