How to present your application and documentation?

Hi everyone. Well am in the final stages of preparing my PMV subclass 300 visa application and getting ready to submit this in the next couple of weeks. I just read the following however on the Berlin embassy website:

Quote:
Please do not place your application in a folder, use plastic pockets for storage of your documents or staple documents together as this slows the processing of your application
Just wondering how others have sent in their applications and all the supporting documentation? Surely just a stack of pieces of paper isnt the easiest for the case officer to sort through?

Would be great to hear how others have done this.

thanks!

Hi there,
I did see a photo of an application before it was submitted which I used as a guide for mine. I believe it is true, best not to put things in plastic sleeves etc as I would imagine they won't like the trouble when they pull it apart. Also because they actually put it into a binder folder when they receive it. I just put a paper clip at the top left of each 'bundle' of paper work and used the check-list as a guide for the order of things. I also put our photos in 1 plastic sleeve for protection. All of it went inside a courier box.
Hope that helps

It's a bit like when you pack for a trip and after you come home you find you probably only needed half of what you took.

The moral being make sure you use the Checklist, have the essentials without overdoing it and yes, you can get sime decent size jumbo paper clips.
Photos can be superfluous to some extent and some people even print them off on A4 paper and so maybe even two a side, double sided helps with that , 4-6 photos being ample.
Make up a folder with plastic holders for yourself if you like and to have additional info if something is requested.
