Any proof of funds?

Do we need to provide any proof of funds while applying as Skilled Migrant class 175?

If Yes then how much and at what time?

It is not in the points test and cannot remember exactly what is asked for in the application form if anything and nothing like you must have X or Y ammount of $$$.

I've read of a family arriving in Australia with relatively little, they being confident of getting work quickly and they did so all has ended well, even if things were financially tight and so it obviously in your own interests to have as much as you can, especially in tighter economic times when employment prospects may not be so good in some professions or trades.

There is very limited welfare benefits available for the first two years of an immigrants arrival in Australia.

If you elect to look at a State Nomination, some of the states are more specific in requesting details of finances.
You should make yourself aware of changes to immigration regulations, some already made and others currently having implementation plans developed - one result likely being that a 175 visa application by itself may have a low priority and a long indefinite wait time for processing.
