The mysterious Form 80

Hello all,
To start I would like to point out that the questions I post here were already sent to DIAC (here expanded) with no reply (since 2 weeks). I am trying to fill "Form 80" which turns out to be a not so simple task.
Note: I am of Arabic descent so take that into consideration in the below questions:

Q19: "Write your parent’s name in their own language or script. Please also write Chinese names in Chinese commercial code numbers.
For Russian citizens, include Patronymic name. If your parent is of
Arabic descent, write the full names of their paternal grandfather
(ie. their father’s father)".
I conclude from the above:
  1. I have to write 2 names (on 2 lines).
  2. I am assuming that "Full Name" means (First Name, Father's Name, Last Name)
  3. In my country, Last Name does not change between father and son.
  4. First one would be the name (NOT full name since they did not say so) of my father, which would be: (My Father's first name, Last Name).
  5. Second one would be the "Full Name" of my father's father's father so:
(Grandfather's Father's First Name, Grandfather's Grandfather's First Name, Last Name)
Is the above correct? If it is, then I cannot see the point of leaving my Grandfather's Name out of the picture, it does not make sense.

Q21: "lived" includes business trips? I traveled on work assignments for
maximum periods of around 1 month, so do those count?(I stayed in hotels
and temp apartments and cannot recall the address details)?

Q23: "since leaving school" is that high school or university? When I was
studying for my Bachelor does that count as "unemployment"?

Thanks for any help.

Looks to me that they have asked for you and your paternal grandfather's name at Q4
And then Q19 is for your parents names and their paternal grandfathers'names

So in effect tou have four generations of names covered

Just list month/business trip/ country/city if remembering and say hotel/apartmrnt of unrecorded address.
If it was recent, just remember what you can and will company have records?

Q23: "since leaving school" is that high school or university? When I was

If you were studying for a degree fulltime, the employment to list is post graduationThanks for any help.
Answers in bold.

Thanks for the reply. Just to clear things up a bit more:

So, except for the fact that I overlooked Q4 (which refutes my claim that they don't get any info about my grandfather) are all my other conclusions correct concerning Q19?

When you say post graduation, you mean post graduation from high school, right? Because the term usually applies to post graduation from university. So I would put "Type of business" = "study", and "Your occupation/position" would be "Post graduation"?

Thanks again.

I think you might have a grandfather too many with

That bit certainly being a bit of a muddle to me and to make it simpler
If your name is Fred Smith, your dad's is George Smith, his dad's name is John Smith and then your Great grandad is Alan Smith,
At Q4. you have Fred Smith and John Smith
At Q19. you'll have George Smith and Alan Smith and the appropriate ones for your mothers paternal side.

Post graduation here refers to graduation from University and the term school is generic to include any period of study including University so there's no business of Study.

According to the way I understood it:
Q4: Fred Smith and John Alan Smith (since "Full" means including the father)
Q 19: George Smith and Alan (X) Smith ("Full" requires the name of the father)
Am I misinterpreting the meaning of "Full" here because sometimes it is used and other times it isn't.

Q23: So I start listing from after I finished my BS? After my BS I was taking Masters courses what do I say? Unemployed? Or do I start listing from after my MS courses?

Whatever the full name on birth certificate is or otherwise given at birth irrespective of how one is referred to and I just gave an example of names

You were doing schooling up until you finished masters unless that was accomplished whilst you were also employed working.
