NZ citizen migrating to Australi - IELTS

Hi,

I'm a new zealand citizen currently living in NZ. Recently, I got married my wife is back home. NZ immi thingi the marriage is not exclusive or intended to be longer. This is wrong and its hard to proof them unless I get a child(I guess).

Now, I've decided I will say good by to NZ. My a computer programmer and I can make good money here in Australia.

I'm not sure what will be right type of Visa. My intention is to bring her in Australia. If I apply for a AU PR(General Skill category) will in need IELTS ? I've post graduate diploma. If i granted PR will my wife automatically will get PR.

Regards

Is your wife in NZ ?or is back home somewhere else? and regardless of where home is, are you saying you have no marriage certificate of any kind?

As a NZ citizen you have a right to live in Australia but as you may be aware you need to be an eligible NZ citizen [ refers to citizens in Australia earlier] to get your wife a spouse visa and you'll need to do that even when you have Australian PR .

If you have no way of proving marriage you might be better off having her apply for a PMV 300 - Family - Visas & Immigration

My wife is not in NZ ? She is in overseas. I've marriage certificate, wedding video etc.

I'm a New Zealand citizen and currently living in NZ. First time I visited Australia was last year.

Someone suggested I should apply for 461 Visa. Do I need to move to Australia for this visa, have a job in Australia, show financial capabilities?

How long does it take for General skill category visa and do I need IELTS?

Regards

Yes, you could get your wife a 461 visa as a temporary measure.
It allows a non NZ citizen dependant to travel with a NZ citizen
Details @ New Zealand Citizen Family Relationship (Temporary) Visa (Subclass 461)

As to how long it can take to process visas, a bit like what piece of string is how long - read:
. A-Z Occupations List - Australian Skills Recognition Information and
. What's New? Recent Changes in General Skilled Migration
then start @
Workers - Visas & Immigration and you'll also find
Skilled – Independent (Migrant) Visa (Subclass 175)
