They should contact you again if the form is missing, if it was evidence you didn't upload it would be a different case

Thanks! So should i upload one now? Did anyone here applied online and uploaded it as an attached document?

I applied online, didn't upload it and got my visa granted without any problems :)

Apologies in advance, but I need to vent!! Starting to feel a bit downhearted about this whole process...my partner and I have been waiting now 16 months, we applied 30th September 2013. And as yet we have had no contact from DIBP apart from a couple of replies to emails I have sent in the last 6 weeks requesting updates on the status of our application, simply saying they are currently processing September applications and I would have a case officer assigned this month (which clearly hasnt happened). I am from the UK (low risk), my partner and I had been living together 12 months at the time we applied for our 820 (defacto), we had also registered our relationship. Our application is about as simple as it gets, neither of us have children or have been married or defacto previously so I just can't understand what is taking so long?! Especially when I see other people on here getting their visas granted after only 10 months, yet they still claim the applications are dealt with in date order. We got engaged in July last year and are getting married in august so I was really hoping to get the visa granted soon so we wouldn't have to worry about it anymore and can focus on our wedding plans. I've been so patient this whole time but now it's just becoming a bit of a joke - please tell me someone else on here is in the same position waiting this long??!

In the same boat guys, applied NOV 2013 and still waiting. It's painful checking emails everyday just waiting for that grant. Fingers and toes crossed for everyone! :)

It's so frustrating isn't it! I decided to submit a formal complaint last night so will see if I hear anything from that...I'll keep you posted! :)

Hi everyone, new here. We applied onshore 820 on paper at Perth office on Dec 31st 2014 (to beat the fee increase!). Got an email 5th Jan saying the application was valid and requesting Medicals. I emailed today to ask about progress (I know it's VERY early days but I just wanted to see what they'd say). Got this:

"The current processing time for applications is 12-15 months from the date of lodgement, however this should be treated as a guide only. We are unable to provide an exact timeframe as to when a case officer will be allocated to your application to begin assessment. Once a case officer has been allocated, they will contact you if any further documents are required.

Case officers are currently actively assessing applications which were lodged in April 2014."

Just thought some of you might be interested to know what they say they're processing now.

Let the waiting begin....!

Just wanted to let you all know our great news............

PARTNER VISA (820) GRANTED TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I submitted a formal complaint on Sunday asking for an explanation as to why we had been waiting over 16 months for our visa to be granted. I then got a phone call from the immigration complaints department yesterday to let me know that our application had been assigned to a case officer and I should expect to hear from them by Friday or at the latest Monday.

But THEN - got a phone call TODAY from our case officer, to say that she had granted our visa and wanted to check that I had received the email with grant letter!!!! She also said that as we had supplied all the necessary information and evidence that it was a very easy decision :)

I'm still in shock and shaking - I can't believe its finally been granted! Feels like a dream..!

Thank you all for all your support, its made the wait so much easier knowing there were so many others in the same boat. Good luck to all that are still waiting!
