Hi everyone,

We applied onshore (I am Aus Citizen and my partner is Irish) via paper application at the start of Feb 2014. His medical was completed in November 2014 - we wanted to wait given the lengthy processing times and concerns it may be out of date. We decided to email Immigration just over a week ago as my partner needs to apply for his 3rd Bridging Visa to attend a wedding back in Ireland in 3 months and it is becoming very expensive! The previous two were for a preplanned holiday and then an unexpected trip home last year but they only seem to give them to cover the timeframe of your flights which is frustrating and very expensive! We actually received a reply back yesterday advising that our application would now move to a CO but again, got the spiel about timeframes and processing older applications first etc so not sure how much longer it will be...almost at 13 months now which is the end of the timeframe we were initially advised back in Feb 2014. Fingers crossed its not too far away!

Hi there everyone. I have been waiting for the 820 for nearly 18 months, and checking VEVO every fortnight, and this error message came up when I checked last night:

"Entered details cannot be confirmed as the TRN/Visa Grant number/Evidence number does not match your current visa. Please confirm your current visa details and re-enter your enquiry. Otherwise, call 1800 040 070 and an officer will assist you."

Does that mean my 820 granted or just a system error? I am so nervous and confusing...

Probably means it has been granted . You should hear something this week then. I believe those that applied via post get their decisions via post.

820 visa waiting

Hi all,

I am new to this forum, I read most of threads here which are really helpful and encouraging.

I applied 820/801 combined Partner Visa application in first week of October 2013. Since then I haven't received any news or outcome from DIBP or nor department asked me any other documents. I sent few emails regarding progress of my 820 visa to DIBP in last couple of months but they just reply that my application is delayed due to security clearance, as I come from High Risk country, Pakistan

As, it now has been almost 17 months waiting time for 820 visa, can any one please share there experiences, Your experience or advice will be much appreciated.

I had applied decision ready 820/801visa applications includes all required documents as well as police/character certificates overseas & Australian, Form 80 and medicals.

Cheers

Ali

Just to share my joy, the long long waited 820 visa has been granted, as confirmed by my Immi agent just minutes ago. This morning I tried to contact the Immi's 1800 040 070 number but I gave up after more than an hour on hold. I am walking on the cloud now, yeehaw!

Will share my timeline & application details soon for your reference. And good luck to those who are still waiting, sometimes no news means good news as the Immi department didn't contact me nor I have no idea who is my CO.

I shall now put my name on the 801 waiting group

Hey there folks!

Heard back from my CO today - I have 28 days to provide more information.

Mostly related to paying rent, sharing of day-to-day expenses, letters addressed to us. Shouldn't be an issue.

One question, will my landlords bank statements showing proof of rent payment along with a stat dec prove sufficient for rent payments?

Thanks,

James.

It sounds like they may be looking at how you pay the rent ie. Joint bank account or both paying a portion out of an individual accoint.

Most likely. Our landlord has her bank statements and highlighted our payments for last two years. We can provide ours too only problem for me is I changed banks at one point and don't have a statement for before that time, albeit only 2 months worth. The landlord has proof I paid though. Should I write a stat dec claiming this?

It really does sound like they are asking if you paid because if you didn't you would have been evicted.

You can provide the statement from the landlord. You should also privide all your statements regarding rent including the recent ones.

It sounds like they want to know who paid the rent - you, your partner or both.
