I can feel your pain. For the last 11 months, I worried so much about the department may lose my file as I applied in paper.

However, receiving this email didn't make me feel much better - just feel like thanks god, they didn't lose my case!

Hope we'll get our 820 visa granted soonish. It is so annoying that I can't leave the country when I'm on BVA!

Form 888 is typically for Australian citizen and Permanent Resident.

Others can do star-dec.

Hi Auslndo

Yes I can - but I'm just a bit too lazy to apply for BVB and all the works regarding to visa application!

I understand about non Australians and the 888 form, but what is needed when a non Australian writes a statement or stat dec about out relationship? Can a typed up statement including their signature and maybe a certified copy of identification suffice? I really have no idea how to go about important people whom can help out case who are out of Australia!

Brittany, do they have stat-dec type of form in the country where they live? The contents can replicate form 888 or even a freestyle supporting letter about your relationship and how they believe it's ongoing and genuine.

Your case is definitely stronger the more supporting docs you provide.

Thanks for the reply.
Friends and Fanily are from the UK, so I assume there must be some type of stat dec!
I have about 17 people whom want to help us with our case, friends and family etc. but I don't know whether that's a little over the top!?!?

Hi Brittany

If they willing writing for you they can just written on the word document as a statement for your relationship but you still need citizens who could fill form 888 for you.
