I'm also planning to include envelopes that have the date stamps clearly visible for any ones that were posted.

Thoughts?

I scanned just the inside where the message and our names are mentioned, unless the front had any significant message. I included envelopes as well :).

Thanks :) I've already scanned the front of a lot of them but not sure if it's necessary now!

I also have birthday cards from my family to him and vice versa which I think I'll include.

How many stat decs did you get? We're also planning to ask a couple of my British friends who've stayed with us for statements.

Since the minimum stat dec is two, we decided to submit four. From reading forums, most people tend to submit 3-6 it seems. :)

We submitted quite a few cards (combined file) from our wedding guests, as well as a few cards that we've exchanged and cards from in-laws. Do what you feel is best for the dynamics of your relationship/situation.

Yeah actually we'll have wedding cards too by the time we apply, hadn't even thought of that! We have a few RSVPs knocking around somewhere too.

Hi Dev. I looked back through your posts and it seems like you've been waiting quite a long time. Did you get a generic email saying your application had progressed/been transferred to a particular office or have you been told specifically that you have a case officer? I've been following numerous threads and honestly it seems like the times differ. Some people get the email saying their application has progressed and still wait several months. I didn't even get notification of being allocated a case officer. Are you coming up to the 15 month mark of waiting now?

Hi Leema. Thanks for replying to my post. Well, I'll touch the 15 months mark on 28th of this month. I applied online using a migration agent. I received the generic email in May then didn't hear anything until last month when my agent said that the file has been allocated to a case officer now.

Surprisingly it's been nearly5 weeks the case officer hasn't asked for anything or hasn't done any communication with us. Nor she granted the visa so I'm very stressed about that like what's going on?

Hopefully I'll get a response soon. Hope for the best.

Usually hearing nothing is a GOOD thing. You have been waiting a few more months than us, you can always call immi, they have a call back feature so your not on hold for two hours.

We have finally got the good news today!!! 820 approved this morning:) We applied on 19th October 2014 and approved on 19th October 2015. We got a mail couple of months back saying that our case was allocated to Brisbane processing centre and email from CO last week requesting additional documents for evidence of relationship.I have uploaded more evidence on this weekend and sent an email to CO. To my surprise got the visa grant email this morning. We were lucky to have a very good CO. Good luck with others waiting.

Hi sssforu

Congrats to you great news and thanks for informing us!

May I ask whether you applied online or on paper?

Did you receive an automatic email stating your application has progressed in the queue and you will be contacted by the Department once processing of your application has commenced? If so, when?

I received this email in mid August and I'm still waiting impatiently lol

CONGRATULATIONS - It's frustrating seeing people get theirs granted when you applied before them but congrats all the same. :)
