Hi Guys!! First and foremost...I would like to thank everyone on this forum cuz I have learned all that I need to learn through all of you guys (and previously had a bad experience with a bad agent so...now I am all for applying independently) so...I got the same email today saying my application has been transferred to Perth!! Almost screamed at my desk at work...also applied in Dec 2014, online in Sydney!! Looks like a lot of us Dec 14 people are FINALLY hearing from immi... Just one question though..in the email DIBP sent us, it says the sponsor also needs to submit an application, they are referring to form 40SP right? or on top of that we need to submit another application online?

hi foodmonster. You r partner has to send the "application as a sponsor." It is explained in the email how to do that. Basically you just do that from your immiAccount and link it via the reference number to your application for the partner visa. Hope that helps :)

Hi Butterfly! Good news, hopefully this means we have a chance of getting our visas before Christmas! :) Will you be applying for an AFP check?

Hi Sam, yes, that's what I am hoping for too. Fingers crossed! I already uploaded all documents incl police checks and medical check when I applied. So my application has basically been "decision ready" since December 2014. I hope they won't ask me to renew anything, but apparently it depends on the CO to extend the validity of those documents up to 6 month over what is usually required. I hope the application will go through smooth.

GREAT NEWS our 820 was granted today wooooooooooooooooooooo. Now the long wait for the 801. Thank you to everyone on here who gave advice and information. My wife and I are really appreciative. This forum is better then having to pay a glorified photocopier AKA migration agent :D

Once again THANK YOU ALL

Also got the DIBP Perth email yesterday!

Just chiming in to say I also got the email yesterday that my 801/820 had been referred to Perth! We applied for the temporary but I hope we'll receive the permanent as we've been married 15+ years. I realized we hadn't given much info on shared finances, so made a combined doc of one page from a joint account from each year. Possibly overkill, but I need something to do. ;-P

One question. Looking at our online application, I am "person 1" and my husband is "person 2" and there are document lists for both his section and my section, including the 40SP and all his relevant supporting docs. That is his sponsorship application, correct? It's been ten months and I'm second guessing myself as I lurk through the discussion boards.

(Applied online Dec-2014, onshore, partner from USA.)

Hi

Applied 21 Sept 2014

CO replied asking police clearance and medical check up 8 Oct 2015

Medical check up 13 Oct 2015

I just wondering how far more i have to wait? because im planning to travel to USA on early December 15?

Should I apply bridging B? if I apply bridging B what happened to my 820 VISA?

Maybe apply for a BVB but from what people have been saying they don't take long to grant so you could leave it for a couple of weeks still.

If you do go to the USA and your visa is approved, I believe you will be granted it upon re-entry to Australia.

The thing is, my partner is Indonesian, so she has to apply US Visa (approximately around 3-4 weeks)

Arabella 10-22-2015 02:16 AM

But if you're definitely going, can't she still apply for the US visa and then decide after what to do about the Australian visa?
