Congratulations!
Congratulations to you both on your wonderful news. Best wishes for a long, happy and successful life together in Oz. :):):)
Would you please be kind enough to provide some more details so we can update the spreadsheet that Mish created? Thanks in advance. It will help us all on the 801 waiting list.

Good day... I am new to this forum. I am Mae from Philippines. I am now currently in Australia with a PMV visa and plan to get married with my partner soon. I learned from other website that we need to apply for subclass 820 next. I am not sure if this is true. If anyone has an idea, can you please help us answer the following questions:
1. Is 820 the next visa after PMV 300? 2. How much the visa cost of 820 for visa holder subclass 300? 3. What are the requirements? Am I required for medical and police check? I hope that anyone from this thread can help me answer my questions. Thank you in advance. |

*** Hi Mae, Yes, 820 is the next step after your PMV. If you are processing just yourself without dependent its 6,865.00 AUD. No medical/police check if you came from PMV. If you Google Partner Visa for Australia you should be able to get a check list on the requirements. Thanks. |

https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa/Fees# $6,865 is the base charge for an 820, if you are applying for it direct. The same base charge would already have been paid as part of the PMV application. |
We got our visa approved about an hour ago !!!
Applied online from Sydney 23rd of October 2014. No contact until about a week ago to request an additional police check and visa approved within a day of providing that last piece of evidence We are over the moon and it's an amazing engagement and early xmas present :) Good luck to anyone still waiting, hang in there :) |
Congratulations to you both. We know how wonderful and relieved it feels after all this time. With Christmas and New Year coming there will be plenty of opportunities to celebrate and open the bubbly. Have a good one together is Sydney...
