Wish immigration worked that fast! ;-) I was actually thinking of uploading the clearance as additional evidence to see whether that would cause someone to notice my file, but don't know whether there's an appropriate category for it.

We are same boat Yeti, I applied 820visa on Dec of 2014 and got email from Perth on Oct of 2015 say that your application has been transferred to the DIBP Perth Office as part of an internal allocation of work and you will be contacted once processing has commenced. Still waiting and worry about it....

It's just after the holidays guys, so it will take some time for everything to be back on track. By the end of January we should see the grants rolling in again....hopefully :).

Hope DIBP can be back on track on next week and hope a lot of grants will coming sooooon.

Really really no idea that 309/100 come faster than 820/801. Some of my friends came from high risk country got the 309 on 9 mths only.

I just received an automatically generated email giving me a checklist of documents required to process my 820 visa. I applied Feb 2015. My immi account has also changed to say that my application is being processed. Going for my health check this week. Anyone know what the approx. waiting time is from here?

I applied on July 2014 and about 10.5 mths later I got a call from my c!we officer asking for my health check and a few other docs. I did my health check up and submitted the docs and about a mth later I got approved. And my case officer said it would have probably been quicker if not for end of financial year quotas. Yours should come soon too after you submit the health check. Good luck.

I received the same automated email, but I am not sure if I have to submit the health check and police checks now. I am really confused.

I thought that you needed some sort of ID number for the health check and I didn't receive that.

Same thing for the police checks.

What should I do?

I applied end of Dec 2014 and I am from Italy and been in a de-facto relationship with my partner for the last 5 years

I've never heard of ID numbers for police checks. If they have asked for them, then you need to submit. It should be clear in the email if they have or have not asked. I'm not sure but I think the Health ID number is given where you apply online?

I had an automated email arrive last week saying my application had progressed in the queue and would be assessed. I'm organising my health checks and verifying everything is submitted to my IMMI account. I applied for 801/820 in Feb 2015.

VirginiaP, login to your IMMI account and follow the prompts to organise your health assessment. Your Hap ID will be provided during that process. From there, you can organise your assessment with Bupa. Keep in mind though that Bupa only organises health examinations 5 days out at a time.

Best of luck, everyone!

Hello everyone. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday.
So my partner and I are going on holiday next month. I lodged my application in nov 2014 so I suppose I should be granted the visa soon.*fingercrossed*
But you never know, that's why I am going to apply for bridging visa b anyway.

From immi website, it says you must have substantial reasons for wishing to leave and re-enter Australia. Will immi refuse my application because I am just literally going overseas for holiday, instead of family illness etc?

Cheers

I'm going on holidays next month too, so plan to apply for BVB this week. Due to long visa processing times, DIBP has become relaxed with allowing travel overseas during the processing period. They grant visas for travel as routine nowadays it seems. Don't worry, you will get the bridging visa or maybe they will grant you 820 instead since:D
