Well I applied by paper 10 days after u with police check 30 December 14. The medical was Jan 15. Progressed in queue e mail in September15. Nothing after that. Wonder if I should send more evidence by paper or talk to them. But I guess talking will achieve nothing.

It just seems really inconsistent when applications made post January 2015 are being processed and granted so much quicker. I understand its case by case basis but not entirely sure whether one processing centre is churning through the applications quicker than the others.
I would be interested to know how the allocation is done; Are they done in date order? Are processing centres allocated date ranges or month batches? Not many December 2014 applications have been approved so far from the posts uploaded. Our migration agent advised us against contacting DIBP directly as they will just provide a generic answer and if you are still within the 12-15 months bracket they will quote the average processing time sentence. |
Thanks. That's what I thought.
Can't understand why it takes 14 months to decide abot one case. Any way we have to keep waiting, hoping and wondering. |
Has anyone done their medicals and not had the results uploaded to your Immiaccount? I did mine a few weeks ago and they said it would all be uploaded within a few days... still nothing! :(

Hii all
We applied for this visa during April 2015. Around 28th of Jan 2016 it was requested form 80 and police check from my country. I've sent all plus new lease and photos of year 2015/2016 (trips, parties etc). I am not stressed about the visa... just hoping to wake up one morning and have the email :). saying .... granted :) . I know we are not alone, but a friend of mine applied 6 years ago and was granted within 2 months, she cant believe that I have been waiting for so long. The first few months, the extended waiting time make me nervous, but then I read in this forum that this is how things are now. All the best wishes to all of you, keep on loving and holding the hand of the one you love <3 everything is fine :) and things will turn on your favor. Love |

I know the visa process can be frustrating, but there's no point stressing about the visa process and trying to put logic to DIBP's method of processing as each case is unique. It won't harm your application if you send a polite enquiry to DIBP regarding your visa application. You are basically towards the end of the quoted processing time so it's ok to contact them. Also, adding new evidence sometimes seem to draw attention to your file. All the best! |

Hello People :), this morning I got the visa granted!! yay! So happy!!!. My partner is an angel, we are very happy. :) :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D. I hope all the ones that are waiting get it soon. Things haven't change so much, but I can travel with no need for applying to the bridging visa. We presented Australian Police checks, medical check, all the forms, we register our relationship two months before applying, Photos, Lease on both names, shared bank accounts, 4 forms of people supporting our relationship. All copies certified by justice of the peace, one service on my name one on my partner, gift card on both names. We were requested last 19th of Jan, for one police check and form 80. We decided to updated some information like the new lease + photos and other stuff we consider might help to show our continuous commitment. Visa granted 3 days after we submit the information requested:):). Love to all Ps: We never had a CO, I sent emails asking things twice and always different people were responding. Please send me a message if you are curious about anything we submitted. Money spent: nearly $6900 for the application $680 medical check $250 register relationship $300 translation $300 in lawyer, we have one consultation. |
