I have told her that she will need to supply a lot of evidence and also that they consult a MARA agent.

They don't want to hurry into getting married although that too is something they have discussed.
Good Luck and wish you a speedy grant!

Kind Regards,
Becky
Thanks Becky

Hi All,

My partner finally got her 801 (Defacto, onshore) granted today and skipped over the 820!

Our timeline is:
We applied on 30/12/14 and completed all Medicals and Police Clearances within a month of applying.
Received the generic email to get everything uploaded on 21/10/15
Uploaded new FBI clearance on 26/02/16
Emailed Immi to request status update on 06/03/16 and received a reply today (09/03/16) advising it will be finalized by the end of the week or monday at the latest.
Grant notification for the 801 arrived 2 hours later!

Receiving the Grant was great and going straight to the 801 is even better!

Thanks to everyone for posting their notes and updates, its been a fantastic help for the whole process.

Nick

Just signed up to thank you all for your help - found this forum invaluable when preparing our visa application.
Husband applied in May 2015 from a low risk country with a decision ready application. He's been living in Australia for 8 years on a 457 visa, and we've owned a house together for 4 years. We had a very straightforward case and were ecstatic when two weeks ago he was granted an 801 directly from his application.

Did immi request another FBI clearance from you? I submitted my visa 6 months ago, but the FBI check will be 12 months old this month. Am up in the air to get another one or not because it takes so much time.

Hi Meli,

They didn't ask for an updated FBI clearance we just started the process a couple of month before the 12 months was up to request a new one.
As it turns out, due to the 4.5 month turn around time for it, the initial one was out of date by at least 3 months by the time we uploaded the new one.

I have also noticed some people suggesting you need US state police clearance as well but we weren't asked for them.

Nick

Hey! Congrats on the visa grant.

I have questions for DIAC but I can't find their email in the website. Can you kindly share it with me?

Hi szeminlim,

The email address I have is for the WA Partner Migration Office and I believe it depends on the office that is processing your visa.

The email address is: [email protected]

I got the email address from the generic "upload your evidence now" email I got a few months ago.

Nick
