I applied by paper to Sydney office on 30 December 2014. Almost 15 months. September 15 had the generic e mail progressed in the queue. No case officer name. Submitted more evidence in Feb 16 by paper to Sydney office. Nothing till now. Dead like a dodo!!!

Majority of people never know who their case officer is. The only ones that know is when the case officer requires more information or evidence.

Hi everyone,

Long time since I last posted on here but I have been checking in almost every day over the last 14 months! Thanks for sharing everyone. Congratulations to all the people who have had grants so far - what a wonderful relief it must be for you.

We are now almost 15 months in. The application (820 - Onshore) was lodged online via our migration agent. There is nothing adverse in the application (i.e. HR countries; criminal records or medical problems for either of us) so we are not sure why it has taken so long but our migration agent did advise that there seems to be longer waits than usual at the minute - maybe this is across the board.

Our case officer recently asked for some more evidence of our relationship so yesterday we sent everything across to our agent. We are hoping to get some good news soon!

Would be interested to hear from any other people who lodged around the same date.

Hi,

I sent them email 3 weeks ago but got no replies until now? They sent you letter or you mean "email", I'm confused, and worried too. Thank you.

Having read through your cases, I feel less stressful and impatient because some of you even are waiting for such a longer time than me for 820 onshore.
I married to my Australian husband in 2014. We lodged our application in Jan 2015 in Melbourne. Till Jan 2016, an officer was allocated to my case and required for only 2 documents: the untranslated Vietnam police check (I had on hand so submitted it straight away) and the medical check (I submitted the result 7 days after).
Now it's Mar 2016 and I am still on BVB. I called up the immigration department to ask if I need to provide more documents. They just asked me to wait till 15 months. If nothing comes up, I need to check with them again.
Unfortunately, waiting time is pretty stressful for me when I have to be PR to get an accounting job these days. Also, I really want to visit my parents overseas but can't book airfare in advance. In fact, I can travel on my BVB but it will delay the processing of 820 when I am overseas. So in the past, I regretfully cancelled 2 flight tickets just to stay and wait for 820.
Well I guess that's life so we should "just enjoy the show"

Good luck to all of us!
I will update how I go when the time comes.

T.
Hi T,

So did you use an HAP ID to book in Bupa to go to medical check? if so, how did you get that ID? or you just went to a hospital to do health check then brought the result to immigration office? Thank you.
