If anyone could shed some light on the 801 process from when you can apply, documents and time frame i would really appreciate it.

Thanks!
Sorry to disappoint but it is the same evidence as 820 with evidence in all 4 categories. They are cracking down so make sure you keep evidence.

You can submit your docs 2 months prior but it gives you no benefit to submit really early when they don't look at it until after eligibility date.

No medicals again. Police check is usually AFP and foreign only required if been there 12 months since the 820.

They are quoting 12 to 15 months but some people are getting them in less time.

We are just getting ready to submit our docs - it is a full time job to prepare them.

Oh YAY thank you immigration, we all just love waiting and wasting time going by your ridiculous approval time frames....Maybe employ more staff! LOL

Sorry evil sarcasm.

I am happy for you Mish, i wish you the best of luck on your journey

With the docs, is it pretty much the same style as the 820? Form 80 and so on?

Yes the preparation is unreal and very time consuming.

Do you know when i will be able to view what documents they will require?

Thank you again Mish

Problem is that the government is cutting staff but still requires the same work to be done.

No form 80. Just evidence.

You can go to permanent partner calculator and answer yes to all the questions and you can get the information there.

It is all 4 categories again and evidence since the grant of the 820.

Okay great, thank you very much Mish

I just logged into our immi account and have a different screen "Partner visa application - information for permanent stage processing" Its like a step by step process 1/20, do we start this now? Or wait?

Thank you

You have to wait until no more than 2 months before your eligibility date.

Thank you, geeez its very tempting to just start filling this out now, they should put a warning saying that and making it clear. I can imagine people would just start filling it out!!

Thank you!

There is a message on it asking if it had been 24 months since lodging the 820.

My 820 was granted this afternoon without any contact from CO!! I'm so relieved!!! 12 months & 10 days was my wait time. I rang DIBP last week regarding visa update and was told that no CO had been assigned but I should receive a decision soon.

This forum has been amazing and I thank all the moderators, senior members & MARA who posts here regularly as I have learned so much from this forum!

Good luck to everyone else waiting!
