This forum has been amazing and I thank all the moderators, senior members & MARA who posts here regularly as I have learned so much from this forum!

Good luck to everyone else waiting!
Congrats!! Don't forget to keep collecting evidence for the 801.

hey congrats on getting your visa, we had to supply the original ( Singapore police check ) I had submitted a copy but everything else was all up to scratch, even submitted extra photos with other couples ( as suggested by our immi lawyer). All emails come with this message : Please note: email enquiries asking for progress reports on visa
application processing within standard processing times will not be
responded to. Processing timeframes are provided on the information
below.
Additionally, if it assessed that your enquiry is answered by the
information provided in this reply no further information can be
provided
by the Embassy.

We have been waiting for over 17 months now and I am so tensed. Applied on xmas 2014 and I just hope that the wait will soon be over. Anybody else who has been waiting that long?

Applied online onshore from Sydney and were asked for an additional police check which we provided 4 weeks ago.

Considering that it's been 17 months for you, you could actually contact immi and see what the progress is like? The current timeline they've given is about 15 months so since it's 2 months over they might give you something better than a generic response?

Bear in mind that there has been a few people who have waited 18 months before receiving a grant letter. My friend (who isn't on the forum) waited 18 months and is from the UK (low risk) so maybe you've got a few weeks left to wait?

Hi Butterfly,

Sorry to hear you have been waiting so long I would for sure give immi a call and ask. They do state on correspondence, if you have been waiting more than 15 months to contact them.

Are you sure you have uploaded everything needed? Form 80, Medical, AFP and Police check for where you are from if necessary.

Please call them and send them an email.

Let us know how you go.

Thanks!

Hey guys, glad to see some of you have had your visas granted - huge congrats!

Here's the latest on mine - first applied on 14th July 2015, received generic email on 1st April (I think) saying to upload all info if I had not already done so, added Form 80 then. Got an email on the 6th May stating my application was being handled in the London office of the Department - requested I add new police checks for Australia and Ireland as the one's I originally uploaded must have been out of date, and a Birth Cert for my partner. I uploaded those on the 18th May, and now just waiting. On my email it said applications being handled from the London office were taking between 10 - 14 months to be dealt with.

I'm was hoping that as they just requested police checks and birth certs that they had enough evidence and I would get word on the visa soon, but I fear I may still have a good while to wait! Here's hoping it's not too long
