I reckon it should be soon I applied for mine on the 9th of June 2015. My partner received a call from our case officer on the 5th of May saying that they're going through our files and asked if we wanted to add anything else which he said no. A few minutes later the visa was granted

Patience! Its just a matter of weeks

Thanks FrenchKoala. It's just hard this waiting game (I think the 801 waiting game would be even harder being so close haha). I feel like I'm in limbo

May I ask if (and when) you got the generic generated email asking for more information? So far it see like the ones who got the email before the 1st of April are the only ones getting approved.

I have been reading alot of the treads here. And I am confused and stressed about the waiting process. I recieved my pmv 300 on Oct 2015. Lodge 820 May 2016 and recieved automatic bridging visa. That said to contact office since my pmv hasn't expired yet. How long does it take from pmv 300 to 820

The time for an 820 from a PMV is much shorter, often a few weeks.

The time for a pure 820 application is more like 12-15 months for some. More like the combined time for our PMV + 820.

They are very different.

It is really hard! I couldn't stop thinking about it everyday but looking back I wish I could go back in time and shake myself really hard so I could stop worrying about it so much. If your relationship is real then you'll certainly get it. In the end we did pay a certain amount of money to be with our partners. I'm trying not to think about the PR until next year since I know it is the exact same process. I did receive an email in February which was auto generated and another one in March with a big message "your chance to be granted a partner visa by the 30th of June" if I submit all documents by the 30th of April. I wouldn't stress too much if I didn't get those emails. The department is simply overwhelmed with all the applications made last year and they're low on staff. It's just unorganised which is why I wouldn't worry about it or even try to understand why it is taking so long etc.

Good luck and meanwhile enjoy everything else!!

Hi guys just need some clarification, I lodged an application for 801 820 visa for my wife 30 june 2015, this year during March she received an email form DIAC in regards to ensure all documents are uploaded in the online application prior to 30/04/2016 so the it can be processed as early as 30/06, however due to the mail was sent and kept in junk folder we completely overlooked this piece of information, I have just managed uploaded remaining information (form 40SP) and statement of realtionship, but I am concerned the processing time,In my case will we be placed to the back of the que again and wiat for a year or do I need to contact DIAC to notify them.

Hello

If i was you, i would just call them and ask that exact question. When did you upload the remaining documents?

I wish you the best of luck and hope you don't have to wait a long time. We waited 14 months and 15 days!

Thanks
