PMV granted Oct 2015
Moved from Canada to Australia Dec 2015
Applied for 820 May 2016
820 granted June 2016
Feels like I waited for this for a lifetime and I know that I still have the 801 waiting time to go. But tonight I celebrate with my husband.
I hope the 801 goes smoothly

We have only received one email 2 months ago advising us that the application has progressed in the que.

Looking at some of your replies, it appears some people have been waiting for almost 3 years!!!!!???? I hope that isn't the case!
Hi! My DOL is 15/7/16 (2 weeks before you) so hopefully we'll hear from them in the next couple months. I also got the email that my application has progressed in queue. Hopefully the progression in queue moves quickly fingers crossed!

Yes sorry I forgot to mention that we did immediately receive the Bridging Visa A when we submitted the application in March 2015.

Question 820/801 bvb

hello ... Anyone could help me please ... I got married in december 15 and we lodged the application 820/801 ... it's normal not hear anything until now? I had withdraw a student visa application before. Do you guys think it could affect my application now? And for the last and more important question ... Im current holding a BVA but I will be travelling next week and therefore I applied for the BVB which was granted on the same day. My CONCERN is to leave Australia and the IMMI cancel my visa while Im abroad. Is that possible? They gave me 30 days to be abroad and I will return before it expire but even so, Im really concerned.
When I did withdraw the student visa application, I still had 2 months on my previous student visa, but the 2 times that I went abroad before my visa runs out I got stopped at the border and almost didn't come in. They thought that I had breached the conditions of my visa working more than 20 h/w but I haven't.
Can I travel safe? Do they have legit right to cancel my current visa while Im abroad?
I hope someone can help
Many thanks in advance

Hi Lobster
I have moved your post as where you posted is for people who already hold their 820 visas.

The 820 you need to be onshore when a decision is made. If it is a rejection I don't know if they can do that why you are offshore.

Post in Ask Mark and he will be able to help with that question.

sammy.lee and lobster like this.

Awaiting 820 decision - July 2015

Hi All,

Just wondering if anybody who applied for their 820 application around July 21, 2015 has heard anything?? I got an email requesting my police check and health check, so I did that ASAP and thats all done - around April.

But I haven't heard anything since then! Just wondering if there are any other fellow applicants around the same time and their progress.

Also, my partner and I have been through a lot since uploading our initial documents (and a few others since then). Just wondering if people have done another personal statement for their relationship, outlining the new things that have happened. For example, my father died, so we traveled back to the UK for 5 weeks together (travel and obviously emotional support). He had to take out a loan for us to do so, as I couldn't due to not being a PR/Citizen (showing financial support). Just to add greater depth to our relationship. Is this allowed/normal?

And, when I upload email communication whilst we were apart (I had to repatriate my fathers body from Singapore to the UK - so I have some email communication from that time) - is it allowed/normal to 'edit' and delete some of the communication. Obviously it was a very personal time, and I don't want to show immigration everything (I feel like I'm entitled to some privacy of my family matters). How do people do this?
