OMG guys!!! I was in my class and received a miss call from my lawyer. Then an email. I GOT MY 820!!!!!!!!!!! I literally was jumping up and down and then had a little cry because even though there's still a long way to go till the 801, it's still another hurdle jumped. This is such a relief.

Now to continue collecting receipts

Good luck to everyone else!

Fiontong, 2 days after my application, I hope you're next too!!

Exclamation The wait is over!

Well, the officer called my name.

In his office, he said the result is positive.

The 801 was granted today. 11 months after application date.

Thanks to everyone on this forum for your input.

Wishing you all a speedy grant.

(The office was an email, in case you're wondering )

I did a password reset for my online immi account and haven't had the email. It's not in my junk. Should I do it again?

Huge congratulations! I think we're around the same application date (14th July '15) so I'm hoping for good news soon! Have a great weekend to celebrate, and try not to think too much about the 801, enjoy this for now

docs for immi

I have been reading through everyone's questions and responses (new here) Question - once the 820 has been granted are there different docs to upload for the 801? Does the immi log in site change what it requires? I keep seeing people talking about docs and adding more and more etc etc. I did my app once - answered as much as I could and assumed there would be no more docs to upload unless requested by my CO - which there was - 3 that's it - am I wrong?

Also I still have heaps of space left for uploading yet I keep hearing everyone saying they don't have enough space... It seems excessive to need 120 files - am I being naive?

Thanks anyone for the clarification.

If you have your evidence well organised that number (I think) is excessive.

You will need to upload more evidence to prove the relationship is still ongoing when you're due for your 801.

Thank-you so much for your quick reply Arabella! I was feeling fine with everything even though it has been taking so long and then found this site yesterday. I have been panicking ever since second guessing everything. After applying for 820/801 in Feb of 2015 my CO finally got ahold of me and asked for 3 docs. None of which was the aus police check which I hadn't done. I have initiated it now based on reading everyone elses posts. A bit concerned too because it appears they are only looking at 820 but my husband and I have been married for 2 years and together for 5 so I thought both would be done at once.... sigh... it may be a long wait still...

Well if you can prove that you've been in a de facto relationship for 5 years, then you should be granted 801 straight away and if you're not you should say something.

It depends what you put on your application around how long you'd been in a de facto relationship.

Because we weren't living together, we couldn't put any dates before we got engaged which was a little frustrating because it meant we had to wait until we had our marriage cert to apply.
