Hi everyone.

Question, I have a new passport using my husband surname already, how can I update my 820 application thru immi account?

Do i need to fill-up form 929 and then upload it to immi? I tried to use the "Update Us" in immi account but I guess its not possible.

Or i need to fill-up the form and submit it personally?

Thanks heaps!

Hi All - I applied for the 820 - onshore last September. A few weeks ago, I received my first correspondence - basically just an email requesting that I have my application complete - and if I haven't arranged police checks and medicals then to do so. It also included FORM 80 in the list of things to ensure is submitted. I haven't done this yet. I didn't think it was necessary - so much paperwork! I have now done my medicals (when I log onto my immi account, it says this:

All health examinations required for the specified visa subclass have been finalised. Processing of this person's visa application can now continue. This will not occur until a case officer investigates the case in line with published processing times for the visa that has been applied for. Do not contact the department about health examinations in the meantime

Do we not get to see the results of our medical examinations? Also, did everyone else get asked to submit a form 80? I am from a low risk country so am unsure why I have to do this (unless maybe everyone does and I just missed that bit!)

Another quick question, one of our 888 stat dec witnesses we are no longer friends with at all...my partner and I had a bit of a falling out with this person and we haven't spoken since late last year, not long after they gave us the stat dec. We had submitted about 8 or so of them, not just the minimum of two, but should we be concerned that immigration may contact them? We fear they will say something ridiculous or false...Should we include a note to immigration saying what has happened?

Also, my partner recently got a new phone number, I assume I need to update this somewhere??

Did many people get contacted by immi - either for interviews, contact their sponsor, or stat dec witnesses? I am hopeful to just get happy news in my email inbox soon!
Sorry a lot of questions, and I probably have more that will come to me later, it is quite stressful knowing that this application we put so much effort into - HOURS upon HOURS of work, as you all know - is soon to be given a "pass"or "Fail". Thanks everyone

Hi LittleOne,

I also get asked to submit Form 80 and I'm also from a low risk country. I hadn't done that before but it seems essential and from what I have gathered here on the forum is everybody has to submit it. And make sure you have no gaps in your addresses and try to be as accurate as possible with your travel. It's a bit of a pain to fill out, but what can you do?!

Regarding medicals, I didn't receive my results either, I think they just get sent straight to immi.

I would probably update your partners phone number, if it was me. When you log into your immi account and click on your application number you should see a little box on the left with different options. One of them is "Update Us", under "Update address" you can change your phone number too.

I also applied in September and I'm checking every day if something has come through!

Thanks so much - what a pain this is going to be (form 80) - I certainly don't recall the dates of every job I have ever held - let alone the years even. It also asks last ten years of addresses, one or two of mine will have to be approximate. Travel - Same! I don't recall exact dates and lived right on the border of two countries - crossing over NUMEROUS times for short periods. I will have to make notes of all of this and do the best I can I suppose.

Hi folks! I am from India and I am planning to apply for 820 for my wife. I have few questions to the folks who have applied for this visa.

Does your BV-A gets approved automatically if you apply for 820?
How long does it take you to get BV-A? From my understanding as soon as you hit submit button and pay the fees (ouch!), you get email for both your acknowledgement and your BV-A approval. Is it correct?

Yes thats correct. Once you submit your application and fees paid, you'll get an acknowledgement email as well as a BVA grant email.

Hi all,

I have finally been granted 820 after 15 months of waiting,

Date of lodgement: 24/04/2015
Received generic emails in Feb and April 2016
Visa granted 09/08/2016
Applied online in Adelaide

My only question at this stage is, what's next? Do I wait till the eligibility date (24/04/2017) to apply for the 801? Or can I apply for one online now?

Regards,
Shayne.
