Thanks GadoGadoGal!

Yes, the more I think about it, it's a no brainer to not risk it and wait until we enter the country on one visa, before we tackle the next.

Good to sensecheck this

Cheers

Hi there, no, my partner called and emailed them but just received a standard response.

When is your holiday? I have to go to a wedding overseas on the 30 October now I'm wondering whether I can make it....

I finally lodged our application in Melbourne office on Friday and got the bridging visa same day on the afternoon! I was surprised how quickly it all went I had an General Purpose Advice For Applicant letter in the email too and it says if I didn’t go to the health check yet, I should do it as soon as possible. I was under impression they ask the health check and police check just before they start to process the application?

My partner was granted his 820 visa today!! We applied 17th August 2015 and grant date was 29th August 2016. We had applied for a bridging visa B only six days ago as we are planning a visit back to England next month!
12 months and 12 days of waiting, received automated email in April but no contact other than that!

Hello everyone. I will lodge an 820 online application in two months. We are not using a migration agent and doing everything ourselves. I am not totally certain of what documents exactly I need to get certified. Obviously we will have to certify passport, birth certificates, drivers license and the Registered Relationship certificate. But other than that, do I need to certify our individual and joint bank statements, electricity/gas bills, phone bills, etc?

Don't worry, my sponsorship status has just been submitted too for 10 months now. I don't think this will change until you get approved.

I wrote a blog post with all the information about my 820 visa, so I can definitely help if you have any questions.
