Hey everyone,

I applied for my partner visa in January so hoping I'll hear something soon.

Thinking about doing my medicals soon so they'll be there when someone looks at my application. Just wondering how long it takes to get an appointment and how long the appointment lasts for?

Also, when I log onto my immi account I have to answer some questions about my medical records. Should I mention having a cleft lip and palate and my appendix removed? I had several operations when I was younger but it's not something I need hospital treatment for now.

Where do I find my HAP ID?

Hi everyone,
I am new.
I lodged my application 17/03/2015.
Received an email asking for the police clearance from my country which is Hong Kong.
Still looking somewhere that I can do my fingerprint and sent the form off.
Been waiting for 18 months now

Just quoting myself so all my questions are in one place...

If I answer those questions, does it take me through to somewhere I can answer the questions and book the medical?

I can't remember exactly what the questions are, but if you are asked about any previous operations I would say yes and perhaps mention them as a group of procedures related to the treatment of the cleft lip and palate, as it may be too long ago to remember all of them individually, especially being a child at the time.

Once you fill out the questionnaire online you will be given a HAP ID, which you can use to book your medical appointment. The panel doctor will have your answers to the questionnaire, perform the examination and can ask you about anything he or she wants more information on. They will know that neither a repaired cleft lip/palate nor a removed appendix requires further intervention and will most likely disregard these when making their assessment of you to the department. You should still mention them if they seem relevant to the question, though.

Thanks! Any idea how long the appointment is likely to be? Does everyone have to have an x-ray or is that just people from certain countries? Just trying to work out how much time I'll have to take off work.

I can't remember exactly how long it took but I think it tells you when you book the appointment. You can go to the site and see what is available and the time it takes without booking it. I think everyone has to have an x-ray (I did anyway). I think the appointment was less than an hour, mostly waiting around. I had mine early in the morning like 8am so I wasn't that late for work. Hope that helps

Thanks Can you get appointments quite quickly? How much does it cost? I remember reading it somewhere but that was a while ago.

Congrats! Is there any reason it took so long? 18 months seems a long time! And any reason you went straight to 801?
