Thanks Dave.

Had my medical on Friday so just waiting for the results. Just got to get a Spanish police check now and upload my other police checks. Waiting for my UK one to come through the post at the moment.

Under his name, there should be a bit about booking his medical on the left hand side of the page. You have to answer a few questions and then it'll give you your HAP ID and tell you how to book.

You can only book up to five working days in advance which is a little annoying.

I lived in Spain for 5 years 2010 - 2015. My Spanish police check took 6 weeks to get even using my Spanish solicitor. Spanish beaurocracy at it's finest.

Yeah you need to log in.

Dave, why did you use a solicitor? I've been told you can do it by post. It's very annoying that I can't do one in Spain as it's pretty easy when you're there! Any idea if I'd be able to use the one I got through a third party company for work?

She only charged me 100 euro's. For that amount I couldn't be bothered to fill in the form and risk getting it wrong in translation or the waiting for it to get to Australia, lost in the post etc.

Not an expert on this but I think you would have to apply for a new one not use an existing one.

Newbie here, at the back of the queue.

Applied online 28 June 2016 - still a long wait ahead of us! Husband is from a high risk country (Poland) so will be quite some time I guess.

Hoping to go straight onto 801 as we were married 4 years at the time of submitting the application. Fingers crossed.

Currently planning to arrange police checks (a few to do) & medical around the 7 or 8 month mark to avoid both a delay in processing and (hopefully) the possibility of them being expired before the time of grant.

Such an exciting and stressful time. Good luck to everyone else who is waiting!

Yeah I think I'm just gonna do it. It's a little annoying as I think the police check itself is less than 5 euro but paying for it from a non-Spanish account will probably cost me $20 and then getting it translated...

Did you solicitor get a translation for you too? Where is she based?
