Just sent off the stuff for my Spanish police check. Really hope it works!

It cost me $14.90 AUD to post, 22GBP to do the bank transfer and just 3.70 euros for the police check!

I'm hoping it'll be sooner rather than later if everything is ready to go.

I think we stopped about 90% of the way through uploading our documents... The other stuff that we were going to upload is still valid and useful but I think it's just more of the same. We've covered all the categories so hopefully that's ok!

In terms of photos... We had a few of the two of us in various locations (Sydney, Uluru, on honeymoon, France) and a few with friends and family, some more formal posed photos (like the one with all my family, me, him and his parents on Boxing Day last year) and some more relaxed, candid shots where we weren't posing (picnic with his family in Botanic Gardens).
I didn't have my Spanish police check translated and it was accepted. They didn't ask for a translated copy.

Hi all

I've been reading this forum for a while, so I just thought I'd share my journey so far...

Applied online Nov 2015
Uploaded many pieces of evidence across 4 categories Nov 2015
Police checks Australia and UK Oct 2015
Health check April 2016

Will upload a little bit more evidence (e.g. bank statements showing we're still sharing finances) and the Form 80 in the next week or so.

Coming up to 11 months. It's exciting to see people from September last year getting approval, I'm hoping for something by the end of the year.

Thanks to everyone for contributing their own stories and tactics!

Hi AussieUK2015

I did apply early Dec 2015, just wondering, have you been contacted at all from immi?
I haven't even received an email so far, besides the acknowledgment letter.

Hopefully, we will get our visas granted before NYE.

Cheers

Hi renekara

No, no further contact from Immigration in regards to this visa since the acknowledgement. Only change in my online information was when I got my health check done, and that part changes to say no further requirements at this stage.

I know many people on these forums who applied between Jan and Sep 2015 received a generic email in Feb 16 then again in Apr 16 asking them to get all their evidence in place by end of June for possible assessment by then. Maybe they'll do another generic email for the next group, which will include us?!

Hi mate, I'm a bit confused here.

Uploading 4 categories doesn't seem like much to me. Has your CO asked you for Form 80 because sometimes they don't. I was only asked in August this year i month before my visa was granted.

Your UK police check is for 12 months and may run out before your 820 is granted.

The Australian police check is asked for if you have been in Australia more than 12 months so I guess you have been.

I applied for my 820 in July 2015 and got it September this year. (14 months) so yours might be processed Jan 2017.

Just trying to help because there seems to be some inconsistency here.

From what I've seen reading through this thread, it either means they aren't sure about what you have already sent, so want more evidence; or, they are checking to see that you are still in the relationship. Send them as much evidence as you can from before you applied and up to now to show proof of your relationship.

That is how I would take that email requesting more information regarding your relationship.

Hello Everyone,

I had submitted on the 9th of September, 2015 on shore 820.
We were asked for further information on August 15th, and again on August 30th to show more information surrounding our de facto relationship and prior to us living together.

We sent this info back in, for both cases, the next day.

Stil have not heard any news since providing more info, We have contacted CO to make sure they received info but were advised it will be reviewed shortly.

Getting nervous as this has now been a month since we were asked for info and have had no progress.

Has anyone else had this occur?

It means one of two things. It either means they have doubts about the relationship or they need evidence since you applied to now since it has been 14 months. I would assume it would depend on how the request was worded.

I would be giving them everything I have.
