Thank you!!! I haven't read much yet on what the next step is and what documents I will need for 801. All I know for now is I need to wait til September 2017 to proceed with my Permanent Residency. Woohoo!!!

From what I understand, it is the same types of evidence as was provided for the 820. All 4 categories, police checks, etc etc. showing ongoing and genuine relationship, living together and all that. I bet it feels great to have the grant! Definitely worth a celebration, that's for sure.

Phew! Got my bridging visa email today. Funny how such a little thing can cause such uncertainty. Yay! Now, on to the loooong wait.

hi,

I am new in this forum. Congratulations!
I applied my 820/801 last April, 2016. I went back to my country last June and on BVB. Amazing reading each situation, some get their visa grant with in 4 to 7 months. And sad as we may have to wait that long base on the others who really waited so long to get their visa granted. Tomorrow is my 6th month and i am not sure how many more months to wait, hehe... just have to be patient i guess!

Anyway enjoy and good luck for the 801 stage! I am happy for you!

Most of those who get the 820 in 4-7 months usually applied from a PMV, meaning they don't have as long of a wait, because they already waited and did most of their documentation with their PMV visa application. I WISH it only took 4-7 months to get the 820 visa! That would be amazing.

Quick question, everyone. Where did you upload your cover letter to the CO? I did one and listed the primary documents that we've uploaded for our evidences. But not sure where to list the Cover letter. TIA for suggestions and thoughts!

Finally! You had such a very long wait. Congratulations! It must be a big relief. Here's hoping they give you PR without further delay.
