LadyRogue, I uploaded mine in:

Relationship - Spouse, De Facto Partner, Evidence Of
-Further Statement About Relationship

I think the most important thing is to name everything clearly and putting a clear description in the 'Summary' - I assume the CO will look at everything anyway, so they will see it wherever you upload it (I hope so anyway!)

Thank you, Sky! Ok, that's where I'll post mine. I actually ended up doing a couple of duplicate uploads (lease agreement twice, etc), to make sure I had information in all areas. I know it isn't required, but I have plenty of upload space with 4 of us on the whole thing (partner, myself and 2 kids). I figured that will make it easier for the CO to go through. But definitely wanted to include the cover letter, as it gives a summary of our evidences with explanations.

I had to apply for work rights, as I received a BVC without work rights. I wonder how long it will take to get the results back? My current BVA doesn't run out for another week and a half, but it would be nice to have work rights before then.

Hi everyone,

Just want to share my Partner Visa 820/801 story..
Lodgement Date: April 7,2016-Paper in Sydney
Acknowledgement Date: April 8,2016 -BVA Granted
Applied BVB- May 11, 2016 and granted May 12, 2016 so I could travel in and out of Australia (Must not enter Australia on November 12, 2016 on my BVB)
MEDICALS: Done before I submitted my whole application
Note: I submitted all forms and complete evidences/documentations and never heard from DIBP.
I hope also that I could go straight to 801 as we had been in defacto relationship since 2009 and married 2012.

I wish good luck to everyone here that are still waiting and congratulations to those who had their visa granted!

This forum is very helpful to many of us here, very inspiring and challenging as well! :-)

Congrats for finally getting your TR but your story makes me really nervous! Me and my partner lodged in July last year and have had nothing except for the acknowledgement letter in April! In a few weeks it will be 15 months and it is really starting to get to me, especially seeing other cases being granted already

Me too, Lyra! Will be interesting to see if we get grants on the same day or not.

I have officially uploaded a total of 65 uploads, between mine, my partner's and my two children's sections on the application. I did some duplicates, so the actual upload should have been about 45-50. But I included everything I can think of. Invites, facebook pages and photos, bank statements, joint utilities, joint lease, joint wills, partner's super statement, stat decs, letters, and all of the identity stuff. The only thing I haven't added are our joint itineraries/plane boarding passes from our two trips, which I have to finish putting together in a pdf then I'll submit those. There are more in the list of what I've uploaded, but that's the gist of it. Phew! That was about a month's worth of work, putting it all together and then finally uploading. I can't imagine trying to do a paper lodging!

Now it's time to settle in for the long wait. How did you all handle it without obsessing over it every day? LOL!

LadyRogue, it is so stressful waiting! After I submitted my application (I am from Canada, and have two kids migrating with me) - I was so relieved to be done with all the paperwork that consumed all my time for several weeks. But now...I am sitting at 12.5 months into this process....waiting....I am getting so anxious! I keep second guessing how I uploaded my information - when I was uploading it all, they changed their website around a bunch and my documents seem so disorganized how it automatically converted them into wrong sections, etc I wish I could re-upload it all more organized for a case officer, but hopefully they will find all they need amongst my messy looking app. I hear and have read of others from low risk countries getting approved around 11-12 month mark, even recently so of course I am wondering....when for me?! I wonder if having children makes it slower...I kind of want to upload some duplicate files into where they actually should be, but think it may seem weird doing so right now? I don't know..I guess I am over-analyzing every little thing at this point...along with checking my "junk email filter" daily....such anticipation....I hope for some happy news soon!!

MK - CONGRATS!! I don't know how you could wait 2 years 11 months - how stressful! So happy you got approved finally

Anyone else recently approved from a low risk country, onshore??

Hi Littleone! Yes, it is stressful! And I hear you about it all seeming disorganized. That is why I did do a couple of duplicate uploads, to make sure I had things in the correct sections and covered every one of the categories. With 2 children, that gives both of us an extra 120 upload spaces. I'm not sure if it does hold it up, having children involved. As long as they have all of the paperwork (form 1229, custody paperwork, birth certificates), I don't see how it would slow it down. Unless they are doing checks for that. Most applications are taking between 12-15 months...with the average seeming to be about 13 from low risk. So, you're still in that window. I know I'll probably be the same as you, worrying about it a year from now. But, as long as you provided enough evidence to prove the continuing, ongoing relationship, you'll be fine. Have you continued to gather evidence? You can always upload more evidences over the past year. I have heard that they sometimes do ask for more to show that the relationship is still going strong, particularly with how long they take now to do the 820s. If it makes you feel better, you could always add some more and put them in the appropriate categories. Then, at least, you'll feel a bit better and can give more information. Have you been asked for medicals? PCCs? I'm getting ready to send off for my FBI check. But waiting a few months for the medicals.

Hang in there! At least you're getting to the end of your wait. I'm sure you'll hear something soon.
